| October 19 & 20
We took Sebastian (now owned by Christine Benken and Linda DeCaprio)
and Calvados (now of CynJim Alpacas)
to the Empire Alpaca Extravaganza. Sebastian placed 4th out of five
in his (very competetive) full fleeced halter class but his cria fleece received
a BLUE RIBBON! Calvados got a BLUE RIBBON in his full fleeced halter class - way to go boys! |

| October 13 Oreo
had her beautiful 20 lb cria! We have named him Isinglass -
after the local river, which is in turn named for the mica that sparkles
from the rocks around here. So cria watch is over for this year! More photos here |

| October 5 We
are very proud to announce the arrival of a beautiful all-black girl -
"Sallie's Fen Amélie". She was 13 lbs at birth and is Melissa's
first cria. Amélie's sire is all-black Natanis (an El Negro
son owned by Silver Hill Alpacas). Look at those LONG legs! More photos here |

April 12-13After several days of HOT weather (over 90F one day!) we started shearing the older boys. Jed is shown here (left) with all the dirt blown out of his fleece and ready to enter Sallie's shearing parlor. He was very good, even without the "happy drugs" we used on some of the others. - Except that he drew the line at having his legs done today - as you can see (right), he would MUCH rather go find the girls! |

April 12The girls got their first taste of the new green grass in our front pasture - yum! |
